God’s Promises in Times of Trouble
“God’s Promises in Times of trouble”. We hope this message will be encouraging to you all as we finish out a very difficult year. We will be looking at what God has promised He will do when we are in need of help.
Christmas: Fear Not
Hebrews 2:14-15
Fear can be a low grade anxiety or a moment of parallelizing terror. We see this in our world today. It is a thief in the night that robs us of life and joy, common sense, civility and grace. It is not surprising the center of the Christmas story is “Fear Not”… the heart of the Gospel and the second most frequent command in the Bible.
Jude: Keeping the Faith in Faithless Times
A series on the book of Jude: Keeping the Faith in Faithless Times. Jude was writing to the believers of his time because what was at stake was the faith itself. His antagonists were operating from within the faith, but what they were offering was another religion altogether… one of self effort, trying to please God and of works that can never save us. Jude is the 4th smallest book of the Bible yet it is one of the most potent in exposing doctrinal errors and false teachers.
The Beatitudes of Jesus
If Jesus showed up today what would He talk about? We know from Matthew 5-7 He preached on one occasion so it’s hard to imagine the substance would be different. Human nature is the same today and God’s truth is unchanging… His message is timeless. The crown jewels of the that sermon are the opening words of The Beatitudes where there’s more in these few short verses than in a years worth of sermons.
Biblical View on the Election
A timely sermon… we need to remember God is sovereign over the affairs of man and nations. He alone disposes and raises nations. Our faith should transcends current events no matter how consequential they seem and take to heart politics will never change the hearts of people only God can.

2 Thessalonians
Take a moment with us to look at the larger context of Paul’s writings in 2 Thessalonians. His thoughts more than any other individual shape the theology and direction of the early church. In this letter a strong case can be made for the idea that our union in Christ is the central theme for all of Paul’s writings and thoughts throughout the 13 books he wrote in the New Testament .

The Book of Ecclesiastes
With the turning of the calendar to a new year and a new decade it’s a time in which we are confronted with thoughts about the rapid passage of time, the brevity of life and the meaning of it all if indeed there is any. This very question is in The Book of Ecclesiastes so it seems there is no better time to dive into a study on this book.
Easter
John 18
We begin this 3 part series at the “Trial of Jesus”. Interestingly enough though it appears Pilot the Roman Ruler is the one on trial. He’s uncomfortable and unnerved while Jesus is calm and appears to be directing with questions of his own.
Covid-19 & GOD
Psalm 33:8-11
Our pastor doesn’t usually preach to what’s going on around us so as to summon us out of our own distractions. This sermon is an exception because it has brought so much upheaval to our lives. In light of this, words need to be said related to it and bring the truth of scripture to bear upon this situation… things we need to be reminded of as we walk through these tough times.

Our Struggle with Giving
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
A timely sermon in these challenging times of great need. Even in the best of times giving can be challenging for a number of reasons. We’ll look at this scripture and why we as Christians give and what it really means. We don’t give to get… but to spread the gospel message.
